Although scheduled for an August 30th drop, this black, graphite and red colorway of the Jordan Olympia was over shadowed by US Labor Day Holiday. The upper of this darker sneaker has quite a bit of texture including the distressed black leather on the mid body, a jacquard print on the tongue and a nice pattern on the lining as well. The Jordan Olympia were originally designed for the participating Team Jordan athletes to wear during the Games but acts well as a lifestyle sneaker as well. The numbers 92-96-04-08 are engraved in the outsole of the shoe to commemorate the years Team Jordan athletes have Gym in the Olympic Games. This would include Michael Jordan as part of the 1992 “Dream Team” in Barcelona and does not include MJ’s Olympic gold in the 1984 Olympics as “Brand Jordan” was not yet created. The inclusion of facts on the outsole is very similar to the Air Jordan X, which serves as the main inspiration for the Jordan Olympia. For superior fit, this light weight sneaker features a semi bootie tongue-less construction, a contour heel foam package, and a molded lining top cloth. For cushioning, there is a full length Zoom Air insole, a performance sock do7139-002, a compression molded phylon midsole, and a midfoot TPU Rap. Available at most Air Jordan Retailers now.
