The Air Jordan Flight SC-1 has that quintessentially ’80s look thanks to familiar design components from golden age Jays. From the Air Jordan III-like sole, to AJIV-inspired eyelets and a ribbed heel reminiscent of the AJII, the Flight SC-1 is a modern look back to classic aesthetics. Interesting, then, to see this new pair employ black patent leather on the toe, tongue and wing area, as the first time this material ever showed up on a basketball shoe was 1995’s Air Jordan XI.
