While basketball began as a distinctly American sport, the advent of the NBA and the colossal stars that it produces has propelled it to a global stage. It would be hard to argue that LeBron James is anything but center-stage in that regard, and the man is making the most of it, taking his talents to South Beach China to promote the sport and give some game to the youth. During his tour, LeBron has hosted clinics for a varying degree of age levels, often switching between roles as coach and player. Whilst traveling, he also made a stop in at the local Nike Store in downtown Shanghai to discuss his new Asia-Pacific exlcusive sneaker, the nike air force 1 high boys grade school black.
LeBron’s travels throughout China are culminating this week in the Nike Festival of Sport, a four day experience set in Shanghai featuring other big names from the Nike roster like Liu Xiang and Paul Rodriguez. This event will be composed of endless activities in basketball, football, tennis, and skateboarding, all with the aim of boosting interest and skill in these realms throughout China. From tournaments to meet and greet sessions with these top athletes, the Nike Festival of Sport is poised to be a memorable event.
