Welcome to the first Urlfreeze News Weekly Rewind of 2012. As you will see below, the onslaught of sick releases and events didn’t miss a beat, so let’s see what went down during the last seven days. To start off, Nike introduced the ‘Year Of The Dragon’ collection, featuring the Air Force 1, KD IV, Zoom Kobe VII, and the Air Jordan 2012. Jordan Brand unveiled the Jordan CP3.V this week at a special media event in Los Angeles, but we also brought you a better look at the new Jordan Retro box for 2012. The KD IV has risen atop the sneaker rankings, but it’s the GR colorways that we showed you this week that truly help build the following. The Zoom Kobe VII, which already has its solid group of fans, now has solid release dates for some highly anticipated colorways, but no RD yet for the crazy ‘Big Bang’ edition that showed up late this week. It all points to a great NBA Feet recap from the New Years weekend, which we gathered for you below.
Nike SB developments are always a headline here on Urlfreeze News, and this week brought a look at some great upcoming kicks like the 2012 vulc sole SB Dunks. Jeremy Scott won’t disappoint this Spring, as we gave you a look at some upcoming Spring releases. The Lunar Flow got an Pink premium upgrade with leather, pairing luxury with sport for a nice combo of material and design. Elsewhere in the lifestyle world, we got our first peek at a mysterious new Asics GT-II colorway courtesy of Theophilus London. The celebrities were out and about once again, with Lil’ Wayne, NY Giants Wide Receiver Victor Cruz, and SNL funny-man Jason Sudeikis making headlines. Nike launched its #MAKEITCOUNT campaign, challenging athletes to make 2012 a memorable year. Finally, Urlfreeze News launched the Top 30 Sneaker Of 2011 Book, giving hardcore sneaker-heads a hard copy of the best year-end sneaker review list of 2011.
