In early 2011, Nike Sportswear released a unique hybrid model called the Nike Air Max 1 Sketch To Shelf White University Red – a three-sided concept that involved the original V-Series running called the Nike Air Vengeance, ACG-inspired materials, and a revised Lunar-based outsole. Although the concept itself was praiseworthy, consumers weren’t exactly flocking to stores to try on a pair, and soon enough they became available for cheaper prices at outlet stores. Nike Sportswear revisits that concept with the soon-to-release Kobe All Star Nike Huarache 2K4 Retro – this time using a much more trendier upper silhouette in the Air Max 90 Terrascape "Black Lime Ice" and the same ACG-inspired midsole seen in the Vengeance rendition. Will this rethought egotism be a hit in stores?
