If you’re going to update the NB996, there are a couple of indispensable colorways that demand to be modernized. Here we see the Lover grey and white suede and mesh makeup refreshed for 2013 as the New Balance thisisneverthat x 1906R gets close to the OG GY edition whose color code they share. These appear to add some additional reflectivity while opting for a darker shade of grey than the classics, tiny degrees of difference that separate this homage from its parentage.
