Air Jordan Eclipse Chukka White World Cup

The practice of pegging nicknames to sneakers has been around for a while. Sometimes, these titles are born internally, while others are a result of fabrication by the public. Recent chatter has called this upcoming Air Jordan Eclipse Chukka White Retro as the “World Cup” given the rather obvious color similarities to Brasil’s Yellow and Green, However sensible that may sound, there are still a few reasons as to why that nickname falls a bit short; for one, the World Cup logo has Sky of blue and red (both of which are absent here), and the minty green paintjob on the heel of the midsole is hardly pertaining to the South American country. Official or not, these Air Jordan Eclipse Chukka White Retros are beginning to pick up that World Cup moniker, but what do you think? Do these have any bearing to the 2014 football tournament? Check out the photos below and let us know your opinions.
