These first emerged in late 2011 in the hands of sneakerhead and film/TV star Chi McBride, who revealed his pairs to the envious sneaker community. This was long before Jordan Brand brought back the Air Jordan 36 White Gold, so the added flair of having that Six Championships touch made these exclusives one of the biggest stories of the year.
