Rajon Rondo was one of those Nike athletes that couldn’t nudge his way into getting a signature sneaker, even though at times he would often outplay those who inked he largest Nike contracts (think his performance versus LeBron James in the 2010 Eastern Conference Semi-Finals). Rondo moved on to ANTA Sports, following in the footsteps for former teammate Kevin Garnett. The Chinese company was more than willing to give Rajon his own signature sneaker. Today we get a look at the latest ANTA RR2, a shoe that boasts a chukka-like asymmetrical lacing system, premium leather throughout, a vertebre-like midsole, and an interesting gel-encapsulated cushioning system in the insole – but other than the aesthetic choices, not too much is known about Rondo’s second signature with the brand. It’s always nice to see what’s on-feet out of the context of our NBA Feet segment, so grab a detailed look below.
