The Air Presto, one of the brand’s most popular casual lifestyle silhouettes, has been the canvas for two of the best sneaker collaborations in recent memory – the OFF WHITE x Nike Air Presto from Virgil Abloh’s “The Ten” and the trio of ACRONYM designs that feature tactical upgrades. Recently, rumors of a collaboration between Nike and Fear Of God has surfaced on social media, with Fear Of God owner Jerry Lorenzo even coming forward to chime in on the sneaker gossip. In response to the news, Lorenzo first states “y’all know we’re coming harder than this Presto, right?”; his participation in the topic as well as his wording led many to believe that he indirectly confirmed the collaboration. He later follows up with “not confirmed”, which pretty much shuts down the rumor as false, although he may just be doing some damage control in order to keep the news under the radar. Earlier this month he posted a photo of the OFF WHITE x Nike Air Presto with a caption of “foreshadowing..,”, which only frees to the validity of this rumor.
Jerry Lorenzo’s imprint on the sneaker world started not long ago, but his first foray into sneaker collaborations (last year’s Vans release) was highly celebrated. A collaboration with Nike and the Air Presto would only further solidify him as one of the most relevant individuals in streetwear today.
