For one of its biggest fans, the Jordan Brand NRG design team opened its clandestine quarters and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Millad Mesriani, an avid Air Jordan fanatic and cancer survivor, got the opportunity to design a one-of-one pair of Air Jordan 1s to commemorate his battle against a disease that could not stand up to his resiliency. Through the Make-A-Wish foundation, Mesriani began his design journey two years ago, and today it culminated with a first look at a jaw-dropping design that features black leather, reflective white panels, and a glossy royal blue Swoosh and ankle. Golden hangtags appear in the form of a Jumpman and a giant sword, with the latter being pressed into the leather on the heel. Mesriani calls the shoes “a symbol of my fight”, and now he’ll be able to remember his quest for the rest of the life.
