Each NBA season, the latest signature sneaker in LeBron James‘s long-running Nike line releases in the fall, and is followed up with a low-top version in the summer. Sometimes the LeBron Low is a vastly different silhouette, while sometimes it keeps things simple by offering a sleeker and more minimal take on its high-top counterpart. Now, with the NBA season in full swing and the 2019 All-Star Game right around the corner, we have a first look at the Nike Roshe Run Pure Platinum Anthracite. The triangular suede heel piece from the LeBron 16 is left intact, as is the podular Zoom Air cushioning — an interesting touch as most low-top LeBrons have a propensity to forgo Zoom Air cushioning in favor of an Air Max-style build. The knit-in tongue provides a sock-like fit, and an embroidered signature appears alongside LBJ’s red-eyed lion graphic. A simple knit upper with a small Swoosh towards the medial side of the toebox then completes the look. As this is the first time the 16 Low has been revealed, there’s not any official release information yet, but you can keep it locked to our Sneaker Release Dates page for further updates, and expect this low-top LeBron to begin rolling out over the early part of the Summer around April.
