The Nike ISPA Drifter is perhaps the most imaginative of the sub-line’s latest generation of footwear. Featuring a Tabi-inspired silhouette thanks to the split-toed formation, the ISPA Drifter has re-emerged in 2021 with an all-new construction that skews cross a raw, organic aesthetic as opposed to the sportier builds from 2020. Dubbed the “NTRL” edition, this upcoming September 15th release makes use of hair suede overlays with a hemp-like natural material on the body, while cork panels cross the ankle as well as on the midsole housing provides even more of that earthy feel.
Adding to that natural look and feel is the fact that these feature no interior liner, a detail seen in the recent drop of the Japan-exclusive ISPA Drifter “Indigo”. Additionally, the perimeter-bonded midsole contributes to the mission of utilizing less waste, a principle that ISPA itself was built on. Recycled materials make up the bulk of the ZoomX cushioning, while the aforementioned cork white less waste.
Again, these will drop on September 15th on Nike SNKRS in select regions overseas; a US release date is still TBD, so stay tuned for updates.
