Jovani Hernandez The Russell Westbrook dunking in the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 Low is bound to drop in special styles for its 40th anniversary. And while partners the likes of Stussy have already revealed their takes on Bruce Kilgore’s silhouette, the Swoosh continues to tease more inline offerings as the celebration gets underway.
Recently, the low-top version of Kilgore’s made-for-basketball design surfaced in an all-“White” arrangement complete with “Metallic Silver” accents throughout the upper. A shimmering finish had appeared on countless pairs of the model before via the lace dubraes, but the newly-surfaced option boasts some of that early aughts flair to the mid-foot and upper heel panels. Interrupting profile swooshes forgo any metallic makeup in favor of a smooth “colorless” look, while branding on the tongue label and sock-liner deviate from the Air Force 1‘s two-tone colorway in pitch-“Black.” Lastly, sole units revert to the pristine “White” tone for which Kilgore’s 1982-creation is best known.
A firm Nike.com release date hasn’t been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change as summer rolls around. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
