Though his legend was born on the hardwood, Michael Jordan often dabbled in sports outside of basketball. Golf, for example, was (and likely still is) one of the athlete’s many passions, inciting Jordan Brand to craft silhouettes built for the green. In the past few years, this selection has grown to include spike-adorned versions of the AJ1 Low Special Air Jordan 1 High OG Rebellionaire Honours the 1985 Banned Commercial AJ4. And while it might not draw the attention of any sneakerheads, soon we’ll even see the fourth iteration of the Jordan ADG.
With the Jordan Spizike "Grape", the Jumpman is experimenting with an entirely new design language, which resembles not the models before it. Rather, the shoe seems inspired by classic oxfords, as it opts for a simple and sleek leather construction. This doesn’t mean that the upper is entirely devoid of function, either, as perforations dress both the forefoot Special Air Jordan 1 High OG Rebellionaire Honours the 1985 Banned Commercial collar. Additionally, the rear is supported by a robust heel piece; the lace unit seemingly proffers adequate lockdown; and the sole, which is also modeled after dressier offerings, is fitted with a ripple bottom.
So far, three colorways of the ADG 4 have been revealed. For a closer look, check out the official images below, and sit tight as we await word on their release date.
In other news, the NIKE AIR JORDAN RETRO IV TD RED THUNDER is coming in kids sizes.
