Several years ago, both Travis Scott and LeBron James “randomly” Upsets to wear vintage pairs of Jon McEnroe’s shoe of choice from decades past, prefacing a first-time, proper re-release of the shoe. Although the sneaker has returned in its original makeup, it’s also appeared in a number of refreshing new styles, both collaborative and otherwise. The latest pair to surface follows a “White” and “Black” color scheme, falling in-line with other sports shoes of the area. Leather and mesh bases set the stage for the slightest of contrast via a “colorless” finish. Profile swooshes, collar areas, and overlays wrapped around the lower heel deviate in a pitch-dark hue. Checkerboard patterns on the tongue label follow the two-tone arrangement faithfully, but sole units underfoot opt for a “White” and “Light Smoke Grey” look.
