Kevin Durant is a veteran in the NBA. Although he’s been soft by durability issues over the past several seasons, the Washington D.C.-native continues to have one of the most grounded signature sneaker lines in the league.

Back in February, the longtime partners reissued the KD 3 “All-Star” from 2011. The “Weatherman” KD 4 was also appropriate for the era, nodding to the “Slim Reaper”‘s ability to “make it rain” – he was fresh off two back-to-back scoring titles when the sneaker debuted.
It’s unclear whether or not the retro will arrive with performance-based modifications à la dark blue and orange lebrons series, but the flats’s recent string of faithful retros suggests Durant’s meteorologist-appropriate shoe will bring clear skies to countless fans of the model whenever it drops.
