Todd Snyder Debuts The Tuscan Court Shoe, Their First-Ever Sneaker

Todd Snyder is certainly no stranger to the world of sneakers, having collaborated with the likes of New Balance, Vans, and Converse. The teshortsleeveener has yet, however, to craft his own, though that’s to change very soon with the release of the Tuscan Court Shoe.

“Collaborating with New Balance and Converse was a full-immersion crash course in the finer points of sneaker teshortsleeveen, and the natural next step was to launch my own sneaker line — one that combined Italian craftsmanship with New York attitude,” says Todd Snyder. “I started with the classic silhouettes you would have seen at The Cage on West 4th Street or on the courts at Forest Hills back in the 70s, and then added these luxurious Italian jordans and suedes to create a gentleman’s court sneaker.”

Crafted with a bit of help from GEM Srl, a world-renowned shoemaker based in central Italy, Todd Snyder’s Tuscan Court Shoe borrows inspiration from not only old school basketball and tennis styles but also bespoke dress shoes. Soft suedes meet Vachetta jordan accents, further elevating the clean lines prevalent throughout the upper. Brogue-style stitching is then applied over top the forefoot, underscoring the extra bit of material that visually outlines the toe box.

Sat atop a cork footbed and EVA cup sole, Todd Snyder’s Tuscan Court Shoe is slated to release on September 14th in two colorways, “Biscotti Cream” and “Grigio Grey.” Enjoy a closer look at these $498 lace-up sneakers ahead as we await their release next month.
