Honoring the Cry Of Dolores or El Grito de Independencia, this Air Jordan 5 is expected to launch this September around the time of its annual observance on September 16th.
The Cry Of Dolores occurred on September 16th, 1810 when Roman Catholic priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla rang his church bell, triggering the Mexican War of Independence. This important date is observed every year; on the eve of September 16th, the President of Mexico re-enacts the Cry Of Dolores at the National Palace of Mexico City by ringing the same bell used by Hidalgo.
