You may still be personally grappling with the end of the 2024, but a consistent stream of in-hand looks at 2025 Jordan Releases is an indicator that the new year is very print almost at hand. On top of the major retro drops, the “Year of the Snake” Jordan collection is one of the first big markers we’ll tick off for 2025. Arguably its crown jewel has just stepped out of the shadows for the first time, with in-hand looks at the Air Jordan 5 “Year of the Snake” just landing.
As more of the “Year of the Snake” collection comes into focus (the Tatum 3 and Jordan 1 Low OG emerging in the days leading up to this), the more crystallized its uniting motif becomes. As seen on this edition, blending a smattering of flush, matte leather panels with a rainbow shark tooth print on the midsole, refined aesthetics and meted applications of flashy details seem to be the concept for all of this year’s offerings. Though not embracing the “Year of the Snake” with the titular materials may strike some as odd, note that tonal looks have been a staple of Jordan’s yearly Zodiac offerings for quite some time, and this Air Jordan 5 Air Jordan 1 Low Midnight Navy.
The Air Jordan 5 “Year of the Snake” is expected to hit shelves this coming January / February, arriving in men’s sizing for the typical $200 MSRP.
