Although the deconstructed Nike D/MS/X Waffle (read: “DIMSIX”) has panned out to be an after-thought in the larger context of the brand’s Sportswear category, it’s recently emerged in an arrangement mean to have a grand impact, as up-cycled materials have made their way onto the retro-inspired experiment.
As has been the case with notables like the Air Force 1 Low Fk Blanc gris and Nike presents a new iteration of the Air Max 97 as part, the forthcoming pair features deconstructed Nike Regrind material throughout the outsole. The waffle-patterned component is accompanied by a robust midsole donning multi-color, marble-like accents from toe to heel. Throughout the upper, a canvas material is split between a brown tone and a “Photon Grey” counterpart, with “Sci-fi Purple” profile swooshes joining the mix. Together, each hue delivers a familiar, but experimental take on one of deconstructed Nike’s most important designs ever.
A stateside release date is unknown, but this D/MS/X Waffle is currently available at various Nike.com webstores across Asia. In any case, enjoy official images of the shoes here below.
