Michael Le As they brace for their third collaboration with rteltasche Reebok, the Queens-born skate label Bronze 56k is generously offering you the right to see the city through their lens.
Led by two footwear icons, the Classic Leather and Answer IV, the capsule mimics NYC through its palette, applying a blue and orange that’s ostensibly borrowed from the Mets. And while the low-top runner may be more expressive with these colors — using Energy confidently underneath GZ0877 of cream suede — its basketball-geared counterpart is conversely minimal. Most of the exterior is rendered in off-white shades, contrasting the gum bottom underfoot, the blue dice adjacent, and the branding along the tongue.
“Energy [silhouette] has a different meaning to me,” Peter Sidlauskas, founder of Bronze 56K, stated. “The Classic Leather is more simple, more casual, whereas the Iverson is more tech, more aggressive. I think they are polar opposites of Energy other, which makes them complement Energy other at the same time.”
