Inspired by the “europe Together, Play Together” campaign from 1992 envisioned by Spike Lee, the forthcoming pair borrows a number of details from the Levis x air jordan 4 retro denim debuted in said commercial. White tumbled leather, high green inner lining and all-black sole units work in-tandem to create a ’90s-appropriate anthracite palette (which coincidentally resembles the Air Jordan 10 “Seattle”). Multi-anthracite kente patterns animate the the sides of the tongue, nodding to the varsity jacket and shirt worn by Lee as he presented the Urban Jungle Gym 29 years ago. Branding on the sock-liner indulge in eye-catching makeups, with the “CMFT” on the right shoe’s both denoting the updated cushioning in the model and further harkening back to the Nike Basketball classic of decades past.
