Japanese retailer atmos has put itself on the map with its long-time partnerships with numerous big-name sportswear brands. Collaborations continue with atmos teaming up with adidas for another adidas made out of recycled plastic cupsw. This time, the two ready the ’80s silhouette for the upcoming fall season with a “Wheat” makeover that includes suede uppers and boot-inspired details.
Similar to other seasonal footwear releases around this time of the year, the pair covers the entirety of its uppers—and even the ankle strap—in flax-colored suede. However, the side stripes opt for a lighter-colored suede and a coarser finish. Gold metal eyelets and dotted laces are design cues borrowed from autumn-ready boots that appear on this low-top silhouette. This style even features a gold ball chain hangtag that features the atmos logo ee3702 onto a suede patch. A plush, chocolate brown sockliner and gum brown sole unit complete the tonal look for a sleek makeover just in time for sweater weather.
