Compared to, say, the 990 series or the 327, the New Balance 1400 is not the most popular kid on the block. The colorway meets its materials halfway, proffering a clean arrangement of neutral and cool tones. Elsewhere, the Boston-based footwear brand’s love for grey comes through by way of the adjacent suedes whose texture appears almost velvet-like. Cream, then, rounds out the palette through heel clip and leather paneling.
