Michael Le As Extra Butter and adidas Consortium come together, they’re not just celebrating EQT‘s 30th anniversary. With the Equipment CSG 91, the two are paying homage to man’s best friend, providing the classic silhouette a colorway inspired by our furry companions. In addition, you can expect to find a number of apparel selections along with a branded collar, leash, and specialty treat.
“The relationship between human and canine is a tale almost as long as recorded history itself. And very much a New York City story. From posting up on the front stoop to strolls in Central Park,” said Bernie Gross, creative lead at Extra Butter. “Just hanging out in front of our Long Island City location, you can see every young adult with a dog. They’ve become almost an accessory, becoming an extension of your personality, sensibilities and tickets style. But most importantly it’s the unconditional love they give and how grounded they can keep you that make the companionship so valuable.”
While a champion of performance for the Three Stripes back in the 90s, the CSG 91 arrives here removed of its usual aesthetic. Extra Butter shines the silhouette through a lifestyle lens, applying hits of brown, tan, beige, and neutral pink throughout. These only serve the overarching inspiration, complementing the textured suede and faux pony hair that allude to the coats of our four-legged friends. What’s more, the pair is further accented with bone and paw details as well as a soft cell window at the heel.
