Nike has long-fostered the concept of a sneaker boot, often expanding their selection whenever the weather begins to cool. This year is certainly no exception, the brand quick to bring out the Special Field Air Force 1 SE in a new, plaid-accented colorway.
The lumberjack feel only amplifies thanks to the “Shadow Brown” exterior, the shade integral in likening the silhouette more to a boot than a sneaker. Branding, then, is largely camouflaged amongst the earth tone, debossed very small into the side profile. The buffalo plaid at the collar is much more apparent by comparison, it’s brief display of color used across the lateral and medial padding. Finally, black rounds out the palette underfoot, mimicking that of Vibram soles and the like.
