Needless to say, the 2021-2022 season has been an unpredictable one for Kyrie Irving, the Nets star whose decision to skip the vaccine has forced him to sit out the first third of the current campaign. Still, Nike quietly released the Kyrie Infinity signature shoe to the public, while news of an upcoming Kyrie 7 “Alternate Weatherman” continues to keep Kyrie fans on their toes.
Inspired by a particular thematic take on teammate Kevin Durant‘s fourth signature sneaker, the newly-surfaced pair takes on a varied look compared to its predecessor. The composite mesh upper maintains its layered arrangement that reveals a series of radial patterns across the forefoot and profiles. The Flow green and black color combination, however, plays a secondary role to the heat map-reminiscent print on the collar and heel. Sole units on Irving’s seventh Swoosh-backed mainline shoe borrow the pattern’s vibrant crimson and neon green tones, with much of the midsole and outsole opting for the “Volt”-like hue. Furthermore, the multi-directional tread boasts a weather map-inspired color-blocking as well.
Enjoy official images of the pair here below, and we’ll let you know if a Nike.com launch is coming soon, because at this rate a drop by the end of 2021 seems unlikely.
