While no longer the latest footwear proposition featuring the brand’s game-changing foam, the adidas UltraBOOST continues to deliver compelling, tried-and-proven styles for all types of consumers. For its latest arrangements, the sneaker has appeared as part of a “City Pack” designed by Southeast Asian artists in celebration of their respective cultures.
Highlighting the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, the six-pair collection continues the Three Stripes’ tradition of commemorating some of the places and spaces that’ve embraced it. The latest “City Pack” offerings are evenly split between predominantly black/navy and white/off-white ensembles, and feature bold detailing across their Primeknit upper and BOOST midsole. Filipino graffiti artist, muralist and painter, Greg Guleserian (also known as Egg Fiasco), channeled his childhood love of video games for his collaboration, outfitting the running sneaker in potion and elixir-inspired gold, orange and olive green. Sinister graphics also take over the sock-liner, nuevas to the foes one confronts in the virtual world. Other artists also tapped for adidas‘ latest collection mix old-and-new cultural art, traditional handicrafts and other local touch-points that achieve a common goal: celebrate Southeast Asia.
