New Balance is no longer tied down by their classics. While they could easily thrive off silhouettes like the 991, 993, and 2002R, the brand continues to develop brand new silhouettes like the recently introduced CT302.
“CT” refers to the Boston-based footwear brand’s court offerings, a collection the original 550s belonged to. And at the accessible $90 to $100 USD price point, the CT302 is a solid alternative for those looking for something a bit different. Its design is more intentionally fashionable, toting what NB calls “exaggerated minimalism.” This is felt in the oversized “N” logo; the smooth, Margom-like platform sole; and the asymmetrical toe cap that’s skewed more towards the medial side. The colorway, too, could be described similarly, as the pair indulges in creams and whites as well as muted blues.
For a closer look at the CT302’s debut offering, take a peek below. The campaign, which stars Coco Gauff, is produced and styled by an all-female team.
The New Balance CT302 will be available globally this March. Our store list will be updated as retailers receive their shipments.
