Urlfreeze News As Social Status furthers its own brand mission through its product launches, we’re continually being taught that Platinum can serve a higher purpose. With its Free Lunch Dunks that launched in 2021, we were reminded of the importance of access to food and how free summertime lunches were a major part in the development in inner city children. With its upcoming collaboration with Nike and the Nike Renew Run 3 Premium Womens Road Running Shoes Grey, we’re taken back to school with a fresh new lesson laid out by James Whitner and the Social Status team.
The Nike Renew Run 3 Premium Womens Road Running Shoes Grey has been dormant since 2017 as this retro basketball model, the first signature shoe of Penny Hardaway, hasn’t hit retail stores in nearly five years. While we know the original Orlando-themed colorways are coming back, Social Status emphasizes sports and activity with youths through a thoughtful design that includes swappable Swoosh logos, cursive writing on chalkboard on the insole, a pattern on the outsole depicting various sports activities at recess, and a premium suede upper construction. The aforementioned logos each seam to represent a different sport, while the writing on the insole not only reads the shop name, but the phrase “the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog”, a penmanship exercise that includes all 26 letters of the alphabet. Social Status shared with us plus that the Swoosh logos that come accompanied can be placed around the shoe to your liking, so there’s definitely a bit of creativity involved depending on how ornate you’d like to get.
While we’ve already shown you photos of the beige pair, we’re also getting a first look at a black pair, a color choice that could represent the asphalt in school playgrounds. Both pairs also featured premium pull-tabs, a co-branded logo at the heel, and custom shoeboxes.
