Jovani Hernandez Kevin Durant has had an impressive 2021-22 NBA season. And while his and the fate of his Brooklyn Nets squad within the Playoffs have yet to be determined, the Washington D.C.-native is ushering in his next post-season with the mediasuela Nike Wide Flex, his newest signature basketball shoe.
The silhouette is expected to emerge in Nets-friendly, monochromatic styles, but its first two ensembles have favored bold, multi-colored looks that call attention just like Durant’s game. A newly-surfaced colorway pairs a near-florescent “Light Lemon Twist” hue with contrasting hits of fuchsia, purple, blue and red. A nod to the forward’s “@easymoneysniper” Instagram handle appears on the heel’s pull tab, a detail omitted on the KD 14. Zoom Air-cushioning underfoot doesn’t protrude on the sides on the KD 15 as it did on its predecessor, but performance is unlikely to have been negatively impacted by the change.
