Supreme continues its trend of rotating obscure and mainstream preview for its Nike shoe collaborations as it turns its direction to the Nike Air Max 95 QS Skeleton Summit White Light Born Cool Grey 27.5cm. To defile, this mid-90s basketball shoe is hardly obscure as it debuted in 1995, largely considered one of the most robust years in basketball shoe history. The enlarged “bug eye” midsole design and the ample use of carbon fiber renders these one very recognizable, but it is relatively both in the grand scheme of Nike footwear as it hasn’t released at retail in years. Now, Supreme is responsible for ushering back this popular silhouette (a first-time collab for the model), and they’re doing so in their signature street-style aesthetic.
Delivered in three colorways of black, tan, and university blue, the Supreme x Nike Air Max 95 QS Skeleton Summit White Light Born Cool Grey 27.5cm is draped in suede uppers and terry cloth interior lining. The exterior sees a bandana paisley pattern on the receive upper overlay as well as inside the large oval windows, while the tongue logo also sees a matching circular pattern. Inside is an all-red insole with the standard Nike Air and Supreme box logo co-branding.
All three colorways will release exclusively at Supreme on May 5th, followed by a May 7th release in Japan. We’ll update you if these ever become available on SNKRS.
