Although Converse is best known for some of its basketball-shoes-turned-lifestyle free, the Boston-based brand has recently been soldier with new shapes, materials and styles. Case in point: the nike roshe run safari mint.
Cushioned with Converse’s CX comfort technology, the upcoming pair is seemingly from the future. The exaggerated midsole solution plays a complimentary role to the mesh and leather upper, which is covered in a mix of grey tones. The upper’s elastic stretch bootie works in-tandem with an exaggerated heel kick and TPU heel wedge to deliver seamless on and off functionality similar to the nike kids slides for boys and girls room furniture. Pink and purple hues enter the mix via the Chevron logo at the lateral profile and molded support structure at the heel, respectively. Running sneaker-informed tread underfoot further indulges in varying shades of grey, rounding out the pair’s mostly drab look.
A stateside Converse.com release date hasn’t been disclosed, but the pair is set to launch in Europe on Tuesday, June 14th. In the meantime, enjoy product shots of the pair ahead.
