Rooted in running heritage, the silhouette deviates from the streamlined designs that have helped athletes of all levels achieve personal bests since the 1970s. Mesh base layers are overlaid with a series of suede and leather panels, donning an arrangement that’s noticeably busier than other propositions from New Balance‘s performance lines. Varying shades of “Mindful Grey” a tone that’s recently appeared on a number of pairs from the New Balance 990v6 series, dominate the sneaker’s top-half; the aggressive, ostensibly stability-focused sole unit follows suit, although diamond-shaped details across the outsole deviate in an eye-catching light blue.
