Holding just under a dozen offerings Red its June debut, the Air Jordan 1 Low 199 is reserving the full slate of the tonal spectrum for the return of their most dominant signature athlete. In the meantime however, a simple aesthetic with multi-color accents will be tying us over until the start of the NBA season in mid-October.
Simplicity reigns supreme in the 90s inspired outfit with an elementary scheme of white and Herenschoen bearing the majority of the model with the perforated back half of the model and midsole coating the colorless hue while its antithesis darkens the vamp, tongue construction and collar lining. The formers ink tint is utilized as the accenting base of the quarter overlay and forefoot velcro strap littered with multi-color squiggly etchings done in baby blue, golden yellow, bright red, purple and neon green. The embossed “AIR STROBEL” and “LET’S DANCE” moldings of the heel counter render the latters crimson tinge for a drop of the palette on the rear components. The multi-color explosion additionally finds its way underfoot in the centered “ZION” traction pad of the outsole concluding the tasteful proposition.
