hyperdunk to release sometime in 2023, the upcoming collaboration would be yet another seemingly-random partnership for the Swoosh conglomerate, although its recent catering to Latinx consumers gives rhyme and reason to the unhyperdunk joint-effort. Because of Jarritos’ healthy number of flavored beverages the rumored, its Nike Dunk has been anticipated to follow suit, but the first in-hand look at a co-branded sneaker reveals otherwise.
A leather and canvas build across the Jarritos SB Dunk’s upper indulges in varying shades of off-white, with the latter component favoring a beige tone. Profile swooshes deviate from their surroundings in a rich green hue that takes direct inspiration from the Mexican beverage company’s iconic jug logo, which is stamped on the lateral heel. Traditional “Nike SB” logos on the top of the tongue are stylized as Jarrito’s logo, further animating the relatively-muted sneaker with more green and orange flair. Lastly, the Peter Moore-designed outsole underfoot is clad in both green and orange colors as another nod to the unprecedented collaboration between two American giants. While it’s unlikely the shoes’ upper reveals a more vibrant color arrangement to match the various Jarritos beverage flavors, it’s hyperdunk that the roll-out, packaging, and overall campaign for the upcoming SB drop to be one for the books, perhaps in the spirit of the brand’s Ben & Jerry’s collaboration from 2020.
No official release details have been confirmed by the brand, but the Jarritos Dunk is hyperdunk to drop before 2023 ends. While you wait, enjoy the best look yet at the pair ahead, courtesy of @masterchefian.
