As the sneaker culture grows, it’s inevitable to see more and more sneaker-inspired events. After highlighting the latest work of INSA from the Kicks N Canvas, let’s tak a look back at the entire event. Last Thursday, April 8th, the Zero Cool art Schwarzes in London opened its doors to over 1500 people showcasing the custom sneaker art of 21 renown names. Artists included the likes Jon Burgerman, ATG, Inkie, Anthony Listers, Zoot, Copyright, and Drum & Bass legend Goldie.
The mission was for each artist to take a pair of white-on-white sneakers and grace them with their own unique style. Listers’ pair actually never made it to the show, as his pair got lost somewhere in Brooklyn; but this didn’t stop him one bit as he still showed up with other art pieces. Zoot actually burned his pair, leaving only the rubber soles to be displayed, along with Collection of the destruction in progress. Each pair is up for sale and will continue to be displayed until the end of the exhibit on Saturday, April 24th.
