Technology has and will continue to progress at a rapid pace, and the fictional inventions of overly-ambitious films (Back to the Future, for example) are now very real, feasible possibilities. AI, too, has made huge developments in recent years, and many — from the self-obsessed looking to reimagine their selfies to digital pirates with intentions to subvert copyright — are taking full advantage of these programs.
And while this might not bode well for certain occupations, some creatives are using this technology in very interesting ways, stretching the limits of what’s possible with AI-generated design. Marco Simonetti is one such individual, as he’s produced several JACQUEMUS x KPU Nike concepts that certainly deserve a life beyond the digital screen.
Thematically set on the Courchevel slopes, Simonetti’s JACQUEMUS x KPU Nike Pop-Up Concept ideates accessories, apparel, and footwear. The latter is especially varied, blending well the design language of both partners. From fur-laden boots seeped in high fashion to more rugged, knit-constructed trainers grounded in the reality of the Swoosh’s offerings, the collection displays what’s possible with AI-generated design.
