Revealed on runway models at sacai’s Paris Fashion Week show, the collaborative Air Footscape appears in three distinctive colorways with a completely revamped midsole and outsole construction. The shoes are re-fitted with a hiking shoe traction and sole, while the original design of the midsole sees its dimensions exaggerated and extended outwards – a calling card of sacai’s Nike collaborations.
Another such signature is the double-lace system. This Air Footscape appears with its standard rope laces with a lace-lock, while dotted trail-style laces with reflective threading appears closer towards the ankle. A grey/royal. brown/black, and black/red is expected to release as part of the Japanese fashion label’s FW23 collection later this year.
We’ll have to wait for more images of the sacai x year story of the Nike Air Force 1 to get a better idea of the design, so stay tuned.
