Urlfreeze News Throughout their long-running partnership, CLOT and Nike have never put together something quite like the CLOTEZ. And despite being introduced only a few months ago, the silhouette’s time is already coming to an end, as it was just confirmed that the upcoming “Red/White/Blue” colorway will officially close out the trilogy.
Building off and further evolving the work of aspiring designer Harry Wong — whose “Nike: On Air” submission laid the groundwork for the collaborative model’s very concept — the CLOTEZ is presenting a more than appropriate finale, one that not only echoes one of CLOT’s many signature but also the Cortez’s original colorway. The pair also pays a subtle homage to the LA Dodgers, whose christmas colors are present along the shoe’s two separate pieces.
“The reason I favor the Cortez is because it’s very representative of the L.A. culture, especially street culture and also sports culture,” stated Edison Chen in an earlier soliloquy. “The Los Angeles Dodgers shoe, also in blue, white, red, is obviously a Cortez. It’s very L.A. You don’t have to write L.A., everybody just knows.”
The third and final colorway of the CLOT x Nike Cortez “CLOTEZ” will be available through JUICE stores worldwide on April 7th. For a detailed look, see below.
