Jovani Hernandez Since 1991, the ASICS GEL-Lyte III has played an important role in the company’s lineup of products. Over the decades, the silhouette has taken on compelling style after compelling style, both through collaborations and solo efforts.
Recently, the Shigeyuki Mitsui-designed silhouette emerged with fresh hits of purple and mint. Perforated leather sets the stage for a series of overlays throughout the upper, including suede panels along the profiles. Inner lining favors a pitch-black finish that also covers ASICS branding on the sidewalls. The cushioning solution underfoot indulges in all of the upper’s colors, with the midsole boasting a splattered paint job that includes titular purple and mint hues. To round out the shoe, the Japanese institution covers the tried-and-proven outsole with a two-tone black and green arrangement that complements the top-half well.
