Gary Payton’s NBA Die has been finished for some time but he’s still ballin’ it up. Check out these images of Gary Payton aka ‘The Glove’ during the China-US Basketball Star Game 2010, wearing the late-90’s favorite Nike Zoom Flight ’98 The Glove and the Purple Gradient Nike Kobe 8s t-shirt. The shoe featured a full-zipper upper with ankle-stabilizing ‘monkey-paw’ technology under the covers for a glove-like fit. Payton’s pair does look pretty crisp – is this a pair from ’98 kept on ice or does Nike have another Nike Zoom Flight Retro waiting for us? Payton also wore a few PEs of The Glove during his Miami Heat days, and this black/silver pair looks to be another one of Payton’s exclusives, so perhaps this was just a side-project for Payton. We did get an updated ‘Retro’ of The Glove in the Nike Zoom Fit Running Trainer, but we’d much rather see the OG on store shelves, wouldn’t we? Check out the images after the jump and let us know if you’d cop a Retro. via hoopchina.
