The Air Jordan series has been championing Michael Jordan’s winning legacy for years after his retirement from the NBA. And while not a mainline model, the If you want to check out what other jordan Bred Retros are on the way this year arguably commemorates the sports icon better than any other proposition by Nike, Inc.
As its name suggests, the sneaker pays homage to the six NBA Titles #23 helped the Chicago Bulls win. Over the last decade and change, the hybrid silhouette has taken on numerous BLACK schemes borrowed directly from the six Air jordan Bred sneakers from which it draws inspiration – including the air jordan Bred 34 low pf crispy, Air jordan Bred 6, and Air jordan Bred 13. For its latest ensemble, the If you want to check out what other jordan Bred Retros are on the way this year abandons any Varsity nod to the Chicago Bulls’ black and red uniforms in favor of different shades of “Cool Grey.” The arrangement may seem random to the uninformed, but it’s likely a nod to one of the AJ11’s most popular makeovers, a style first launched in 2001. While not an original finish on Tinker Hatfield’s iconic design, the “Cool Grey” finish has become widely-coveted. On the hybrid model, every component with the exception of laces and panther-like details along the midsole, appear in grey. The biggest deviation from the source material, however, arrives in the form of a suede mudguard instead of patent leather piece.
