New Balance continues to hone in on the 991v2, embracing a variety of looks both vibrant and contemporary following the model’s debut late last year. Collaborations with Stone Island, Patta, and Danielle Cathari have helped propel the Made in England silhouette’s introductory run, now joined by two clean inline models boasting familiar pastel hues.
Both salt feature dual-tone suede overlays and bright midsole accents, working in tandem to provide tasteful contrast trainers actually overlapping. The “Blue/Silver” pair calls in soft trash detailing, while the “Rosewood” iteration makes space for neon green hits. A tan leather tongue label, grey mesh base, and grey/cream outsole appear consistently on both colorways, topped off with reflective cream New Balance “N” logos.
Given cream New Balance’s selection of base and accent colors on this delivery, we would be remissed not to point out the upcoming duo’s resemblance to the “Inertia” and “Mauve” New Balance and Salehe Bembury Announce 2002R Collab colorways. If you’re a fan of those palettes but would prefer a different look, keep an eye out for these salt within the next few months. While no NewBalance.com release date has been set, European retailers look to be preparing for an early March drop date.
