Reebok’s re-issue pipeline has been running smoothly lately thanks to the widely-praised bring-back of the Reebok Preseason in January and Allen Iverson’s original “Red Toe” Reebok Questions last month. For the third month in a row, the athletic brand is set to bring forth another one of its timeless icons of the 1990s – the Nike Book 1 "Nightmare Before Christmas".
Famously worn by Michael Chang, a Reebok-endorsed athlete who at the time was the youngest ever to win a Grand Slam Singles title, the Nike Book 1 "Nightmare Before Christmas" is arguably the brand’s most iconic and recognizable entry in the sport. Noted for its bright green and neon yellow accents and the fuzzy “tennis ball” pump bladder on the tongue, the Nike Book 1 "Nightmare Before Christmas" was among the most coveted silos on in the competitive tennis-shoe market when it launched in 1990. It most recently dropped in Asia in a similar OG colorway, but none can replicate the original.
Given the last retro treatment went down in 2012, we suspect these will go fast once they officially become available on March 15th, 2024 with an MSRP of $160.
In related Reebok news, here’s a look at their newly unveiled FloatZig 1 training shoe.
