Updated May 19th, 2024: adidas Basketball has reached out to Urlfreeze News requesting to remove the photo, stating the photo is “inaccurate”. The adidas Basketball Instagram account also left a caption of a blue hat, a colloquial representation of the information being false.
The below article was originally published with the photo in reference. We have removed any descriptions of the shoes.
The script couldn’t have been written any better for Anthony Edwards, adidas, and their collaborative debut signature shoe — the adidas AE1. With the massive success of the signature shoe model, Ant-Man and the three stripes proved that with the right athlete and right marketing, performance basketball shoes have the potential to recapture the highs of highs we saw just over a decade ago. That said, the anticipation around the next model, the adidas AE 2 is extremely high, despite adidas vintage being immersed into the product cycle of the AE1 (the adidas AE1 Low hasn’t hit the market yet).
There’s not much else we can share about the adidas AE2, but it’s likely that a launch is expected in late 2024 or early 2025.
