Nike re-introduced consumers to the mid-2000s water shoe last year through a slate of Summer/Fall releases, but not before reworking the tooling for a more modern feel suitable for lifestyle wear. While it might never reached mainstream consciousness due to its unescapable water shoe identity, the Watercat+ has institute a welcoming audience within the growing “gorpcore” niche. Of course, the Watercat+ still meets the demands of aquatic footwear through its woven upper and grippy tread, presenting a suitable pick-up for those who actually turn to Nike ACG for its weatherproofing benefits. Most pairs feature a splash of color up top and white/black sole below, this red-dominant one included.
