Much like the Paris-based label’s Foamposite duo from 2021, CDG utilizes an entirely new upper with grooved ripples that extend outward at the quarter and forefoot. While the preceding delivery consisted of monotone black and white looks, the “Cat Eye” colorway features an abstract, glossy black and grey mix, leveraging the shoe’s circular elements with a fitting tendency and nickname.
Arriving one week before the start of the 2024 Paris Olympics, the shoes ode to the international competition with gold, silver, and bronze stripes on the tongue and blue pull tabs, with white-on-black off white x nike air force 1 af1 mca university blue white branding just underneath the latter.
Moreover, there’s good news when it comes to the price. Considerably less than the $520 tag for 2021 pairs, the “Cat Eye” colorway clocks in at $300. That’s more than the usual price for the Foamposite One, but a far cry from other CDG x Nike projects which typically retail for around double a model’s standard MSRP.
