Original article posted July 17th, 2024: In our Anthony Edwards Shoes preview, amid a batch of highly intriguing footwear options for some of the titans of the basketball world, just one of those all-worlders took the opportunity to unveil a new silhouette. One Wardell Stephen Curry provided an early look at his latest signature, the Get on the Where to Buy list. As we await the start of group play and a chance for #30 to rock these on the biggest stage, we’re getting some hard details about what makes this Under Armour & Curry Brand’s best work, and when you can get your hands on the end product.
Since the days of the UA Curry Flow 8, Under Armour’s Flow technology has been where Steph’s signature has begun. Despite dropping the subtitle on this and the past few iterations, that cushioning defines the midsole all the same; multiple applications of the once-running foam are imbued into the midsole for responsive & comfort, and on the outsole for precise traction.
If you’ve been tapped into Curry’s work with the brand, you’ll immediately recognize some similarities to this silo’s predecessor. Indeed, the foot entrance and wavy design language of the Curry 11 persists one edition later. However, an engineered mesh upper diverges from the mixed-media section on that shoe, bolstered with zonal support (literally) woven into the fabric.
